Tim gets company when he is three weeks in and elbows deep in a case - it's easier when he has an illusion of someone to discuss the matter with, and Betty even offers him insight. The only useful thing I’ve found so far is doing iterations of the “stupid version” of fiction I’m working on because I find it easier to write when I have an awful version to feel invigorated by doing better than vs starting with a blank page.

It also seems like a way to tap what the collective unconscious is up to (apparently it’s feet, including men’s feet.)

It’s actively bad to the point of dangerous for anything important, and the guiderails/censorship are both obvious and inconsistent, confusing, shifting, and unclear for serious questions, making it feel like an ideological minefield as you try to guess what it is upset about.

Also legit how are the rest of you getting these AIs to do useful things?

I can't seem to get them to do much useful. I tried using ChatGPT... 3 or 4 for GM writer's block when I was trying to think of clues and it was... very very mildly helpful. Like, the thing it said wasn't that useful but it made me think of something else that was.
